In today's digital era, DAOs* and the metaverse are transforming collaboration and innovation. DAOs, with their focus on trust and transparency, are redefining governance through decentralized decision-making.
Considering this dynamic environment, during the ETHAmsterdam hackathon we were eager to explore the synergy between these two tools, unleashing new realms of creativity and ownership.

We found no effective or impactful online gamification platforms for engaging and rewarding core contributors. This is crucial for connecting DAOs and Web3 communities with the evolving metaverse landscape, as social engagement is key to community strength.

Our project offers a customizable 3D Web & VR-enabled metaverse framework, empowering Web3 communities like DAOs and NFT creators to gamify and personalize onboarding and incentives for both new and existing members.
With this, we look to significantly enhance community engagement.

How to access theDAOverse
For the purposes of this beta-project launch, we created a DAOVerse specifically for Blu3DAO.
New prospective members need to collect 3 POAP badges: LEARN, EARN & PLAY through a series of actions or quests in accordance with the core tenants of Blu3DAO.

Members can bid on these projects to earn token rewards.

Results and reflections
This was my first time participating in a hackathon and it resulted to be a unique and successful experience.
Our project received 5 prizes, getting recognition for its good UX and the Best Use from sponsored technologies.
My main learned lessons were the following:
We must explore and create new alternatives to invite people that diversify and enrich the web3 space.
Good UX is key to ensure accessible and enjoyable navigation. If web3 is all about decentralization, we should make the user feel free and capable enough to explore new technologies. And if we can make that experience fun, even better!
Designing an adaptable platform allows the user to customize its features, enhancing its effectiveness and precision to meet their specific requirements.
Defining the project's objectives from the beginning when working on a tight schedule is essential to create a minimum viable product that meets the desired quality standards.
Maintaining a good communication and coordination between the team will make the experience more enjoyable for all (:
As next steps to follow, the team applied for several grants to keep developing theDAOverse and reach more web3 projects that can implement this metaverse tool within their communities.
